Make The School’s Annual Auction Your Destination This Year! | MSU Broad College of Business

(December 8, 2011, East Lansing, Michigan)  Students and alumni from The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University are busy gearing up for the 21st Annual Auction benefitting The School’s student Hospitality Association, its Alumni Association, and two local charities: The Junior League of Lansing and the MSU FCU Institute for Arts and Creativity at the Wharton Center. 

The theme for the Auction this year is “Destination,” so get ready to take a trip around the country, with fabulous packages and items up for bid, on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The silent auction begins at 5 p.m. and the live auction begins at 6 p.m. Destination Auction is presented by Auctioneer Bob Howe, assisted by Mike Furlo. 

The Annual Auction is the premiere fundraising event for The School and is planned by an outstanding student executive board, with the help of hundreds of student volunteers. Each year, the Auction is attended by faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the surrounding MSU community.  And while this year’s theme is “Destination,” and features vacations and getaways https://sociology.berkeley.edu/, it will also include hundreds of other items, including golf packages, exclusive culinary experiences, sports memorabilia, gift items, and much, much more. The Auction items have been generously donated by The School’s alumni and supporters.

Examples of some of this year’s unique auction items are:

* A two-night weekend stay, including two tickets to Biltmore Estate, at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel in Asheville, NC.

* A two-night stay for two, including a round of golf for two, at the Ritz Carlton, Dove Mountain in Marana, AZ.

* A four-day, three-night stay in a coastal view room at the Ritz-Carlton Naples, featuring dazzling views of the Gulf of Mexico, three miles of pristine beaches, world class restaurants, and impeccable service.

* A four-day, three night stay in a completely furnished two-bedroom condominium at the Gulf Shores Plantation in Gulf Shores, AL.Please join us in the Big Ten Rooms at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on Saturday, February 11, and bid high and bid often! Get a look at all the different destinations and find your perfect choice. Your ticket to ride is only a $10 donation at the door.  Food and beverages are provided.
